10.47

正遍知，即菩提性。那倒分別故失正，唯局二、四、八萬劫中，餘不能知，故失正遍知。遍知既亡，故成外道邪論。

Right and universal knowledge is the nature of bodhi. Because of upside-down discrimination he loses correctness; being limited solely to twenty, forty, and eighty thousand eons, unable to know the rest, he loses right and universal knowledge. Once universal knowledge is lost, he forms the deviant doctrines of externalists.
