雖八萬劫見於眾生，然有分劑，故曰有邊。此外寂然不見有生，則無分劑，故執無邊。
Although he sees sentient beings across eighty thousand kalpas, there are demarcated limits, hence he says 'bounded'. Beyond this, it is entirely still and no beings are seen to exist, thus there are no demarcated limits; hence he clings to 'boundless'.
