世人不知元是無明展轉麁動，將此昏迷擾擾之相便為真實心性，一從迷執，決定不改，謂言我心在色身內，遂起有情、無情之異，有性、無性之殊，認妄心為佛心，一何鄙見！

Worldly people do not know that it is fundamentally the progressive coarse movement of avidyā; taking this turbid and agitated appearance to be the true nature of mind, once they adhere to this delusion, they decisively never change it. They say, "My mind is within the physical body," thereby giving rise to the distinction between sentient and insentient, and the difference between possessing nature and lacking nature, taking the false mind to be the Buddha-mind—what a base view!
