例前結指也。棄之大海是一迷也，認漚為海是倍迷也。垂手是正，執為倒，一迷也。竪手是倒，認為正，倍迷也。前舉事以驗，後引喻以況，中間以法進退相例，正指倒相，皎然明白，如何謂言是泯相耶？有智請詳。

This draws a parallel with what preceded and points it out. Abandoning the great sea is one delusion; recognizing the bubble as the sea is a doubled delusion. Lowering the hand is upright, yet clinging to it as inverted is one delusion; raising the hand is inverted, yet recognizing it as upright is a doubled delusion. Earlier he adduced an event to test [them]; later he cited an analogy to illustrate it; in between he used dharmas to compare back and forth, directly pointing out the characteristics of inversion, brilliantly clear. How could one claim that this is the annihilation of characteristics? Let the wise examine this carefully.
