以法合喻，如上所辨。一、客去主留責滯緣想，二：一、約法喻順推有體，三：一、法。

Fitting the doctrine to the metaphor is as distinguished above. [This is] the first [subdivision]: 'The guest departs while the host remains, reproving stagnation in conditions and thought,' which has two [parts]: first, deducing in accordance [with reason] the possession of an essence by reference to doctrine and metaphor, which has three [subdivisions]: first, the doctrine.
