「阿難！此大講堂洞開東方，日輪升天則有明曜，中夜黑月雲霧晦瞑則復昏暗，戶牖之隙則復見通，牆宇之間則復觀壅，分別之處則復見緣，頑虛之中遍是空性，欝𡋯之像則紆昏塵，澄霽斂氛又觀清淨。」

"Ānanda! This great lecture hall opens wide to the east: when the solar disc rises into the sky, there is bright radiance; at midnight during the dark moon, when clouds and mist bring gloom and obscurity, it is again dark; through the crevices of doors and windows, one again sees passage; between walls and eaves, one again observes obstruction; at places where discrimination occurs, one again sees conditions; in impenetrable space, emptiness is omnipresent; where there are hazy and turbid forms, one is entwined by turbid dust; and when clear weather collects the vapors, one again observes purity."
