「則知汝心本妙明淨，汝自迷悶，喪本受輪，於生死中常被漂溺，是故如來名可憐慜。」

"Thus you should know that your mind is originally wondrous, bright, and pure. You have bewildered yourself, losing the origin and undergoing transmigration, constantly drifting and drowning within birth and death; therefore the Tathāgata calls you pitiable."
