汝若執言：我與世尊同緣物時，世尊之見既著彼物，我見物時便是見佛之見。經文省略，但云見吾。此牒所計也。即便破云：吾不見時，何不見吾不見之處。意云：我若不緣彼物之時名為不見，此不見體汝應合見，為何不見也？

If you cling to the assertion: 'When the World-Honoured One and I simultaneously cognize an object, since the World-Honoured One's seeing is attached to that object, when I see the object, that is seeing the Buddha's seeing.' The sūtra text is abbreviated, stating merely 'seeing me'. This takes up what was calculated. It then immediately refutes it, saying: 'When I do not see, why do you not see the place where I do not see?' The meaning is: if I do not cognize that object, this is called 'not seeing'; you ought to see this entity of not-seeing—why do you not see it?
