"Moreover, now I sit with you in the Jeta Grove, looking all around at the groves, watercourses, halls, and pavilions, up to the sun and moon, and facing the Ganges ahead. Now, before my lion throne, raise your hand and point out these various characteristics: what is shaded is the grove, what is bright is the sun, what is obstructive is the wall, and what is unobstructed is space, and so on down to grasses, trees, and slender hairs—though their sizes differ, wherever there is form, there is none that cannot be pointed out."
