既不能於物中辨出見性，斯則所指咸物，無於是見。既無是見，應即非見，故下徵之。

Since one cannot discern the nature of seeing from among objects, then everything pointed to is an object, and there is none that is seeing. Since none is seeing, they should then not be seeing; therefore the text interrogates this below.
