Language
Classical Chinese

2.533

Mind and object are not the same, and subject and object are distinct in substance; hence it says 'must be different.' If light and seeing are mixed, each loses its own meaning: light is then not light, and seeing is also not seeing. Both meanings being lost, their names also perish, just as when fine dust blends with water, it is only called a lump of mud, not dust and water. Since light and seeing are both lost, what would be called blending? Therefore it says 'illogical.'
