'Yet they fail to know' rebukes their divergence from those who can know. All dharmas fundamentally do not arise, and now they do not cease. They are not dharmas of the three periods of time, hence there is no coming or going. Since arising, ceasing, coming, and going are ungraspable, the nature of the tathāgatagarbha is originally permanently abiding, has never moved, and is all-pervading and completely tranquil. Sentient beings are deluded and inverted, turned by objects, and utterly unaware; this is delusion regarding the perfect and real.
