Refuting arising from space. If seeing flowers arose from space, when not seeing them they should enter back into space. Space has neither interior nor exterior; what exiting and entering could there be? Were there exiting and entering, it would be actual form and would not properly be called empty. Since it would not be empty space, how could flowers emerge? For when seeing an actual object, no flowers arise. Just as Ānanda's body is an actual form, when seeing your body, how could it accommodate another Ānanda emerging from it?
