「阿難！汝常二時眾中持鉢，其間或遇酥酪、醍醐名為上味。於意云何，此味為復生於空中？生於舌中？為生食中？」
"Ānanda! You regularly hold your bowl among the assembly at the two meal-times, and on occasion you encounter butter, curds, or clarified butter, which are called supreme flavors. What do you think: is this flavor born from space? Is it born from the tongue? Or is it born from the food?"
