破浮塵也。初句牒，次二句破。若取雙爪，此乃身攝，非屬鼻根。設有所知，但名知觸不名知香。名身下二句結非香鼻。鼻尚下指無界義。此下破勝義根。

This refutes the superficial dust-organ. The first sentence cites [the thesis], and the next two sentences refute it: if you take the two nostrils, they are subsumed under the body and do not belong to the nose faculty; even if there is something known, it is merely called cognizing touch, not cognizing fragrance. The two sentences from 'Being named body' onward conclude that it is neither fragrance nor nose. 'Since the nose does not even' indicates the absence of the meaning of a realm.
