破轉計也。初二句牒計，設汝若言非不相干，由有我鼻，香臭方立，猶如鼻根由香故有，則彼下破。今四句質，不生香破也。

This refutes a shifted thesis. The first two sentences cite the thesis: suppose you say that it is not that they are unrelated, but that it is due to my nose that fragrant and foul are established, just as the nose faculty exists due to fragrance. The sentences from 'then those' onward refute it; here four sentences challenge and refute it on the ground that they do not arise [as independent] fragrance.
