此下破境生也。初句牒，識因下五句舉例奪破。眼能有見，見不觀眼；香能生識，識不知香。

From here onward is the refutation of arising from the objective realm. The first sentence cites [the thesis]. The five sentences from 'consciousness exists due to fragrance' onward present an analogy to deprive and refute it: the eye is capable of seeing, but seeing does not view the eye; fragrance can produce consciousness, but consciousness does not cognize fragrance.
