「阿難！又汝所明舌味為緣生於舌識，此識為復因舌所生、以舌為界？因味所生、以味為界？」
"Ānanda! Furthermore, as you understand, the tongue and tastes, acting as conditions, generate the tongue-consciousness. Is this consciousness produced because of the tongue, taking the tongue as its element? Or is it produced because of tastes, taking tastes as its element?
