「阿難！若因舌生，則諸世間甘蔗、烏梅、黃連、石鹽、細辛、薑桂都無有味，汝自甞舌，為甜為苦。」
"Ānanda! If it is produced because of the tongue, then all the sugarcanes, smoked plums, coptis roots, rock salts, asarums, gingers, and cinnamons in the world would have no taste at all. Taste your tongue yourself: is it sweet or bitter?
