「如室羅城迦毘羅仙、斫迦羅仙及鉢頭摩、訶薩多等諸大幻師，求太陰精，用和幻藥。是諸師等於白月晝，手執方諸，承月中水。此水為復從珠中出？空中自有？為從月來？」

"For instance, in the city of Śrāvastī, the ṛṣi Kapila, the ṛṣi Cakra, as well as Padma, Hasta, and other great illusionists seek the essence of the great yin (the moon) to blend into illusion-medicines. These masters, during the daytime of the bright fortnight, hold a moon-mirror (fangzhu) in their hands to receive water from the moon. Does this water come forth from the pearl, exist spontaneously in space, or come from the moon?"
