破鑿生也。前三句正破鑿出，若鑿出空，鑿自出空，云何見土從井而出。不因下三句反破不因，土因鑿出，空因何有？

This refutes arising from digging. The first three lines directly refute coming out from digging: if digging brought out space, digging would naturally produce space, so how could soil be seen coming out of the well? The three lines from 'if it did not...' invert and refute not being caused by digging: if soil comes out because of digging, whence does space exist?
