「如汝今者在祇陀林，朝明夕昏，設居中宵，白月則光，黑月便暗，則明暗等因見分析。此見為復與明暗相并太虛空為同一體？為非一體？或同非同？或異非異？」

"Just as you are now in Jetavana: morning is bright and evening is dark; supposing it is midnight, the waxing moon is luminous and the waning moon is dark; thus light, darkness, and the like are differentiated because of seeing. Is this seeing identical in substance with the phenomena of light, darkness, and empty space? Or is it not identical in substance? Or is it both identical and not identical? Or is it neither identical nor different?"
