4.122

不與而取，故名為盜。今非理食他，即奪其命也。以惡業故同處一世，令怨對相值，更互詶償，盡未來際相奪不止，皆盜為本。

Taking what is not given is therefore named stealing. Now, eating another unlawfully is taking its life. Because of evil karma they abide together in one world, causing adversaries to encounter each other and reciprocally repay each other, perpetually seizing without cease to the end of the future; all have stealing as their basis.
