According to what you understood from the analogy, you ought not doubt any further that the Tathāgata's empty enlightenment gives rise to mountains and rivers. The Vimalakīrti Sūtra says: 'For those with excessive pride, the Buddha teaches leaving behind lust, anger, and ignorance; if there is no excessive pride, the Buddha teaches that the nature of lust, anger, and ignorance is itself liberation.' Hence we know that making diligent effort within a dream is an empty name for cutting off delusion; when illusory causes are fulfilled, the mirror-image fruit is perfected. All who sever and realize should fundamentally grasp this principle.
