「世尊！此義何獨我等年少有學聲聞，今此會中大目揵連及舍利弗、須菩提等，從老梵志聞佛因緣，發心開悟，得成無漏。」

"World-Honoured One! Why should this meaning apply only to us, the youthful śrāvakas in the stage of learning? In this assembly now, Mahāmaudgalyāyana, Śāriputra, Subhūti, and others heard of the Buddha's causes and conditions from the old brahmacārin, brought forth the mind [for bodhi], became awakened, and attained the outflow-free [state]."
