佛告阿難：「即如城中演若達多，狂性因緣若得滅除，則不狂性自然而出，因緣、自然理窮於是。」

The Buddha told Ānanda: "Just as with Yajñadatta in the city, if the causes and conditions of his mad nature were eliminated, then the non-mad nature would spontaneously emerge. The principles of causes and conditions and spontaneity are exhausted in this."
