佛告阿難：「汝今已得須陀洹果，已滅三界眾生世間見所斷惑，然猶未知根中積生無始虛習，彼習要因修所斷得，何況此中生住異滅分劑頭數。」

The Buddha told Ānanda: "You have now already attained the fruit of a srotāpanna, and have already eradicated the delusions abandoned by vision among sentient beings in the world of the three realms. Yet you still do not know the baseless habitual tendencies accumulated through lifetimes without beginning within the faculties; those habitual tendencies must be attained through eradication by cultivation, to say nothing of the arising, abiding, changing, and ceasing, with their precise divisions and counts, within this."
