本一圓常妙湛明性，所相妄現，分明暗殊，明暗相形，動覺湛性，性相和合，執成妄覺，故云粘湛發見。斯則所既妄立，生汝妄能也。

Originally there is the single, perfectly permanent, wondrously still and luminous nature. The perceived characteristics falsely appear, dividing into the distinctions of light and darkness. Light and darkness contrasting with each other stirs the aware and still nature; nature and characteristics coalesce, and clinging forms a false awareness; hence it says 'it adheres to the still clarity and generates seeing.' This means that once the objective has been falsely established, it gives rise to your false subjective capacity.
