"Perfect extrication" means perfect dissolution. Grasping objects constitutes the faculties; due to the faculties there are obstructions. When the grasping mind does not arise, the objects vanish of themselves. Since they are no longer entangled, they are naturally and perfectly extricated. A later passage says: "Seeing and hearing are like illusory cataracts; / The three realms are like flowers in space. / When hearing returns, the cataract-faculty is removed; / When dusts dissolve, awareness is perfectly pure. / Purity reaches the utmost, and light penetrates through." Therefore it says: "subduing them and returning to the original reality, bringing forth the luminous radiance of the fundamental nature." The Laṅkāvatāra states: "Failing to understand mind and conditions, one gives rise to two kinds of false imaginations; understanding mind and objective realms, false imaginations do not arise." When falsehood no longer arises, the luminous radiance is brought forth. All of these share this meaning.
