Gaṅgā, also written as Henghe, is translated here as "Coming from Heaven." This river emerges from the silver elephant mouth on the southern side of Lake Anavatapta and flows into eastern India. The spirit governing the river is female; hence she is called a divine goddess. As for smelling fragrance without a nose, the narrative details have not been seen.
