The mirror's brightness is unmoving, while reflected images conform to the forms. If one sees the coming and going of images and says that the mirror arises and perishes, that is inversion in the extreme. Without discerning sound and hearing, one becomes deluded regarding annihilation and constancy; therefore, this concludes with an exhortation that one must not say again that apart from sound there is no nature [of hearing].
