4.95

'Brightness' means manifestation; the manifestation of falsehood has no other condition; it is merely due to one's own single thought of non-comprehension, falsely bifurcating subject and object, which constitutes the fault. Awakened brightness refers precisely to subject and object. Once the brightened object has been established, it induces the mind of subjective awakening, continuing thought after thought without being able to depart from thoughts; therefore, the wondrous principle of true brightness is obstructed by thoughts, becoming hidden and abandoned, unable to exceed them and manifest.
