月光童子即從座起，頂禮佛足而白佛言：「我憶往昔恒河沙劫，有佛出世名為水天，教諸菩薩修習水觀，入三摩地。」

The youth Candraprabha immediately arose from his seat, bowed his head at the Buddha's feet, and addressed the Buddha, saying: "I recall that kalpas ago, as many as the Ganges sands, there was a buddha who appeared in the world named Water-Deva, who taught the bodhisattvas to cultivate the water contemplation and enter samādhi."
