此平等性觀能破無明，開佛知見。此知見性，處妄常真、在染不污，今得顯發，如開敷出水，故以為喻。

This contemplation of the nature of equality can shatter ignorance and open up the Buddha's vision and knowledge. The nature of this vision and knowledge remains constantly true while amidst the false, and untainted while in defilement; now that it is revealed, it is like a flower opening and rising above the water, which is why it is used as a metaphor.
