無始生死不能超越，蓋由結縛。今待解除，無礙無繫，不以懇至，莫由開曉，故雨淚求示也。

Inability to transcend beginningless birth-and-death is due to bonds and knots. Now, awaiting liberation, to be unhindered and unbound, without utter earnestness there is no way to be awakened and illuminated; hence he wept tears to seek instruction.
