When worlds first arise, inert empty space appears first, arising from false thinking; hence it says “from delusion and falsity [space] exists.” As the text below says: “Even empty space is born from false thinking.” “Based on space, worlds are established”: the substance of the world is the four wheels, which all exist depending on space, as the earlier text says: “Enlightened luminosity and dark emptiness mutually interact to produce motion, and thus there is the wind wheel that upholds the world,” and so forth. Falsely imagined thoughts congeal to form the external lands, and the deluded mind's cognitive awareness forms internal sentient beings. Environment and beings having both become manifest, they are collectively termed “worlds.”
