6.430

灌禪定水於破戒巵，欲求滿果，塵劫不平。誰之過矣，豈不慎乎！斯則內德無實，外相惑人，戒器已穿，善法多漏耳。

Pouring the water of dhyāna concentration into the vessel of broken precepts, wishing to achieve the full fruit, it will never be filled throughout dust-mote eons. Whose fault is this? Should one not be cautious! In such a case, internal virtue lacks reality while outer appearances deceive others; the precept-vessel is already pierced, and wholesome dharmas are largely leaked away.
