阿難即從座起，頂禮佛足而白佛言：「我輩愚鈍，好為多聞，於諸漏心未求出離。蒙佛慈誨，得正熏修，身心快然獲大饒益。」

Ānanda then arose from his seat, bowed his head at the Buddha's feet, and addressed the Buddha, saying: "We who are dull-witted were fond of much hearing, and regarding the mind of outflows, had not sought escape. Receiving the Buddha's compassionate instruction, we have obtained right cultivation and perfuming, and our bodies and minds are blissful, having gained great benefit."
