7.143

爾時，世尊讚阿難言：「善哉！善哉！汝等乃能普為大眾及諸末世一切眾生修三摩提求大乘者，從於凡夫終大涅槃，懸示無上正修行路。汝今諦聽，當為汝說。」阿難、大眾合掌刳心，默然受教。

At that time, the World-Honoured One praised Ānanda, saying: "Excellent! Excellent! That you are able, on behalf of the great assembly and all sentient beings of the final age who cultivate samādhi and seek the Great Vehicle, to reveal in advance the unexcelled path of right practice from the ordinary person up to final great nirvāṇa! Listen attentively now; I shall explain it for you." Ānanda and the great assembly joined their palms, emptied their minds, and silently received the teaching.
