情想相因，形待不息，有情世界不出十二。動念初起，迷本圓常，影明遂現，故卵生居首。情愛後起，次有胎生。異愛不同，次分濕化。想心紛擾，取捨多端，成後諸類有色無色等。下自委辨。

Emotion and thought act as mutual causes, and physical dependence never ceases; the worlds of sentient beings do not exceed twelve. When the moving thought first arises, it is confused about original perfect constancy, and shadowy luminosity then appears; hence the egg-born come first. Emotional love arises afterwards, and next are the womb-born. Different kinds of love diverge, and next moisture-born and transformation-born are distinguished. The thinking mind is agitated, with diverse graspings and rejections, forming the subsequent classes of those with form, without form, and so on. These will be distinguished in detail below.
