8.183

本性覺體未嘗起滅，故云湛然。此湛覺體三世諸佛無二圓滿，故云覺齊佛覺。此則得平等覺，與諸佛同，故云等一切佛。

The essential nature of the essence of awakening has never arisen or ceased; hence it is called 'serene and clear.' This serene essence of awakening is non-dual and complete across the Buddhas of the three periods of time; hence it says 'his awakening equals the Buddhas' awakening.' This means attaining equal awakening, being identical with all Buddhas; hence it says 'equaling all Buddhas.'
