所愛之境雖別，能愛之心是一，故云流結是同。流謂沈下，結謂縛著。因既不昇，果亦淪墜。

Although the objects loved differ, the loving mind is one; hence it says 'flowing and knotting are the same.' 'Flowing' means sinking downward; 'knotting' means binding attachment. Since the cause does not ascend, the fruit also sinks downward.
