'Grudge' is resentment (upanāha); having anger as its prerequisite, it harbors malice without letting go, taking the knotting of enmity as its nature. Unable to bear and endure, it constantly suffers vexatious heat. Wrapping in sacks and so forth, all of the above are implements for binding criminals; some texts erroneously have the character *pu* (撲, strike). Hurling and seizing are both the binding and dragging of criminals; some texts have *pao* (拋, throw), which is also an erroneous character. It is like harm-inflicting ghosts constantly watching to seize people. 'Poisoned wine' (*zhènjiǔ*): *zhèn* is the name of a bird; when its wing feathers stroke wine, the wine becomes lethal.
