「二者聞報，招引惡果。此聞業交，則臨終時先見波濤沒溺天地，亡者神識降注乘流，入無間獄，發明二相：」
"Second, the retribution of hearing brings on an evil fruition. When these karmas of hearing intertwine, at the point of death one first sees surging waves submerging heaven and earth. The consciousness of the deceased plunges downward, riding the flow, and enters the Avīci Hell, where two manifestations unfold:"
