因為見習，鬼作魍魎，精耀之物既盡，為畜便成應類，即應四時節序來而復鳴者。言和者，雜也，雜精明處而成鬼也。

Because of the habit of dogmatic views, as a ghost it became a mountain-and-water specter. When the gleaming quintessential material is exhausted, as an animal it becomes a seasonal creature—that is, one that arrives and calls out in response to the four seasons and calendar nodes. 'Blended' means mixed: mixing with places of quintessence and brightness to become a ghost.
