慇懃啟悟，令識魔惑。五陰所迷，魔得其便。故《正理論》云「五蘊者，積聚藏隱諸不善因，譬如群賊藏隱山中，時出人間，劫奪財物。」故知五陰，魔所依處。若能觀破，魔自消歇。

Earnestly opening up awakening to make one recognize the delusions of māra. When one is deluded by the five aggregates, māra gains the advantage. Thus the *Nyāyānusāra* says: 'The five aggregates are the accumulation and concealment of all unwholesome causes, like bands of thieves hiding in the mountains who occasionally come out among humans to plunder wealth.' Hence we know that the five aggregates are the dwelling place of māras. If one can see through them by contemplation, māras will naturally subside.
