9.218

「又以此心內外精研，其時魂魄、意志、精神除執受身，餘皆涉入，互為賓主。忽於空中聞說法聲，或聞十方同敷密義。此名精魄遞相離合，成就善種。暫得如是，非為聖證。不作聖心名善境界，若作聖解即受群邪。」

'Further, using this mind to finely investigate internally and externally, at that time the ethereal and corporeal souls, volition, intellect, spirit, and consciousness—except for the body that is clung to and appropriated—all interpenetrate, alternately serving as guest and host. Suddenly one hears the sound of Dharma being spoken in space, or hears esoteric meanings being expounded simultaneously throughout the ten directions. This is called the subtle spirits mutually separating and combining, bringing about wholesome seeds. Temporarily attaining this is not a holy realization. If one does not regard it as a holy mind, it is a good state; if one interprets it as holy, one will immediately fall prey to bands of demons.'
