「又彼定中諸善男子見色陰銷，受陰明白，前無新證，歸失故居，智力衰微，入中墮地，逈無所見，心中忽然生大枯渴，於一切時沈憶不散，將此以為勤精進相。」

"Further, when these good sons in samādhi see the aggregate of form dissolve and the aggregate of sensation become clear, there is no new realization ahead, yet they have lost their former abode. Their power of wisdom is frail and weak, and they fall into the intermediate ground, seeing nothing in the vast expanse. Within their minds there suddenly arises a great thirsting dryness, and at all times they sink into brooding without dispersing it, taking this to be the mark of diligent vigor."
