心愛生也，虛妙空寂也。邪慮，即前十種心念也，謂發悲、生勇等。愛圓明者，著定境也。銳，利也。淬利愛心，令其精妙，故貪善巧。

Affection arising in the mind: 'empty and subtle' means empty and tranquil. 'Aberrant thoughts' refers to the ten kinds of thoughts mentioned previously, namely giving rise to compassion, producing bravery, and so forth. 'Cherishing complete brightness' means attachment to the state of concentration. 'Sharpening' means honing: tempering and honing the mind of affection to make it subtle and exquisite, and therefore greedily seeking skillfulness.
