9.332

「爾時天魔候得其便，飛精附人，口說經法，其人亦不覺知魔著，亦言自得無上涅槃，來彼求遊善男子處，敷座說法。自形無變，其聽法者忽自見身坐寶蓮華，全體化成紫金光聚，一眾聽人各各如是，得未曾有。是人愚迷，惑為菩薩，婬逸其心，破佛律儀，潛行貪欲。」

"At that time, the heavenly demon awaits and finds its opportunity, flying its essence to possess a person, who preaches sūtras and Dharma with his mouth. That person also does not realize he is possessed by a demon, and also claims himself to have attained unexcelled nirvāṇa. He comes to the place of that good son who seeks to roam, arranges a seat, and preaches the Dharma. His own form does not change, but those listening to the Dharma suddenly see their own bodies sitting on precious lotus flowers, their entire bodies transformed into masses of purple-golden light. Each member of the audience is like this, experiencing what was unprecedented. That person is foolish and deluded, mistaking him for a bodhisattva, his mind becoming lewd and licentious, breaking the Buddha's moral discipline and secretly practicing greedy desire."
